Minimum Qualifications (Screen-out Element):
Ability to do the work of a Lock & Dam Operator Supervisor with the ability to perform complex maintenance repair and inspection duties. This includes performing preventative maintenance and identifying electrical, hydrological, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. - Failure to meet this Screen-out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability to lead or superviseDexterity and SafetyKnowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work requires frequent standing, stooping, stretching, climbing and crouching. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. May occasionally lift and carry items weighing over 50 pounds. Uses coordination of eyes, hands and feet, and also of legs and body in installing, repairing, or testing equipment in confined areas such as manholes, enclosed switchgear structures, or on overhead structures. Climbs ladders and poles. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works inside and outside, subject to changing climatic conditions, loud noises, prolonged standing, falling, water hazards, drowning, cuts and bruises. Works in cramped places and is exposed to dirt, grease, fumes, and dust; works around heavy construction machinery, with and around power shop equipment. Occasionally will work behind bulkheads or in tunnels below water level.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
